GuidedSMILE Zygo

Zygo Implant Guidance - Simplicity Through Technology

Zygo planning and guidance comes in two forms. One, in conjunction through the patented CHROME GuidedSMILE product, where the osteotomy guide is design to ensure the exit point of the zygoma implant is in the proper restorative position for prosthetic pick-up, or in the CombiGuide for a digital or conventional prosthetic workflow. Our experts plan the trajectory and position of the Zygo (and other remote anchorage implants) and the surgeon follows the plan and uses their expertise to position the apices. Two, utilizing a bone-borne guide, screwed down for bone channel guidance, depth, and position of any other implant planned. Below are images and descriptions of both systems.

Option 1, is our traditional CHROME GuidedSMILE or CombiGuide option designed with planned sleeves to control the restorative exit position. The guide is best suited for pilot drilling, and the subsequent drilling can be followed without a sleeve, but other options can be used. ROE has completed hundreds of zygo and other remote anchorage cases with great success. This surgical and restorative option provides the surgical and restorative team a very predictable protocol.

Option 2, a metal, bone-supported guide for specialty implants, as well as pre-manufactured prostheses when desired, or a design service for Grammetry or photogrammetry. The prosthesis is palatally supported with prepositioned holes. Cases are planned live online with our experienced technicians and the specialists.

Both options systems can incorporate Nobel, NeoDent, Noris, Straumann and Southern implants, in combination with standard implants. Our lab also works with GuidedSMILE to offer the EZGoma guide form Noris Medical.

GuidedSMILE ZYGO can be completed with an ROE-certified clinical support technician for the conversion part of the surgery. There is a fee for clinical assistance. We arrive with the tools, materials, and experience needed to support your surgery.

Records to begin a GuidedSMILE ZYGO:

  • CBCT include the eye orbits (dentate patient scan out of occlusion; edentulous patient using dual scan technique)
  • Full face / full smile photographs for diagnostics, and photos of a retracted smile in occlusion straight on and left right
  • Dual scan for edentulous patient, or master casts / PVS impressions for dentate. Dentate cases can include digital impressions – must include the vestibule
